News the Far Side
Hi All,
Spoke with Mom today and they were having hot weather in the UK. Nauth and family were on a holiday trip and Barb was busy and doing well. Aunt Rani has been travelling to Devon and is not well. Aunt Dru had fallen when trying to walk to her wheelchair and is now recovering.
From J'ca I received a surprise call from Kamy and aunt Neil. Kamy was feeling much better after not being well for the past few weeks. Brian bought a smoker and made a first try and smoking some pork? or chicken and apparently it had too much smoke flavour. So next time he will reduce the hickory........I think he should try and use pemento wood to flavour the smoke.
Aunt Neil is leaving for the US tomorrow (Sunday) and will be in NJ with uncle Hars for the next few weeks. She will call me to let me know if there is any news she wishes to tell the rest of the family. Brian should be able to send some photos from over there, it would be really nice to see things.
Over here the weather has been unseasonably cool and windy......the sun not appearing till late afternoon shortly before the fog comes rolling in again. Can't really complain, it is the kind of weather we have learned to live with.
Michael Bennett, my nephew and Barb's son has been enthusiastically putting together a geneaology tree with as much details as we can remember. Anyone who is willing to help him in this endeavour please send him a line. A reliable address for him is BennettMK@aol.com It is similar to his address at f2s.com which is very unreliable.
